LION
The Chinese Southern Lion, its shape originating from aesthetic tradition of the southern region of the Yellow River, including Macao. The lion is made of bamboo, the Chiwen on its head is made of metal and bamboo. This particular lion was used for the Bun Festival in Cheung Chau. Instead of ears, the artist Louis To placed two dragons on the side of its head, creating a piece that is more original and novel.
