THREE STEPS
After selecting, peeling and preparing the bamboo in boiling water with Chinese medicine to purify it, it can then be bent for shaping. Cotton paper made of vertically woven fiber, and is water resilient, is used for knotting the joints tying the bamboo pieces together, so they will keep their shape.
Sculpting requires the longest time during fabrication because the artist constantly observes the shapes in order to create the most expressive facial features.
